Gripping vocals, powerful lyrics and thick layers of instrumentation are sure to appeal to a wide range of listeners. Men of Grace continue with their trademark combination of traditional and original songs in this tightly produced, hook-laden collection, sending a sign to indie, gospel, contemporary Christian and pop fans across the globe. “SEND ME A SIGN” is a sign for all.
Men of Grace formed in 1999 as a musical ministry of Grace Gospel Fellowship in Pontiac, Michigan. Several of the members have struggled with addiction that consumed their lives. During the past 12 years, Men of Grace have traveled throughout the United States preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song and testimony. They have performed for thousands of people, including President George Bush and have sung the national anthem at both Comerica Park for the Detroit Tigers and on the floor of the Michigan State Senate.
One of the members of Men of Grace lived under the I-75 and Eight Mile road bridge feeding a 30-year heroin addiction. Another member overcame a horrific Vietnam experience and crack cocaine addiction. Each of the members of Men of Grace has a similar testimony of drug addiction, abuse or churchanity. However, each of them have overcome those demons and are living testimonies of the saving power of Jesus Christ.
Nearly every member of the Men of Grace is a graduate of Grace Centers of Hope. As one of southeast Michigan’s largest faith-based organizations, Grace Centers of Hope provides a continuum of care for men, women and children experiencing homelessness. From emergency food and shelter to long-term life and work skills programs, the organization helps empower individuals to become productive and responsible citizens. With an annual operating budget of $4.4 million, Grace Centers of Hope accepts no government funding and 100 percent of its revenues is obtained through private support, its four thrift stores and fundraising initiatives held throughout the year.
